Hello lovelies! And happy Wednesday to you all :) One of the things I absolutely love is shopping at the waterfront, strolling through the craft markets and stopping in for lunch date. So today on the blog I am sharing a memory from our time in Cape Town earlier this year, spending time with the family at Primi Piatti. The V&A Waterfront is one of my most favorite spots in Cape Town, and we always try a new spot to eat! This time we stopped in at Primi Piatti, which has amazing views over the ocean. It was a chilly day, so of course, I opted for the warm, delicious baked mac & cheese :D Plus, a latté! Best way to keep warm. Love being able to look back on these memories, and excited to go on some more foodie travel adventures soon! <3
Hello Lovelies! Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving Weekend with your families, friends, and loved ones. We had such lovely time, and although we weren’t able to be with family, we were blessed with amazing time with friends, delicious food, and definitely one too many desserts :)
Since many of you will be traveling home I thought I’d share one of my favorite travel outfits on the blog today. When we are on the road, I like to go for something chic, sporty, yet super comfy. A few weeks ago we were in Regina for a wedding and stayed over at the Hotel Saskatchewan, Autograph Collection. It is the most adorable hotel, with 20th-century charm with white marble bathrooms and oversized windows. Love, love, love!
The day after the wedding we spoiled ourselves to a delicious breakfast in bed, and thanks to our late check-out spent the day relaxing in our robes, drinking warm lattés :) After a relaxing day like that, my favorite outfit for hitting the road is this pair of joggers from Aritzia and my favorite H&M sweater. Plus, I always have my fluffy slippers close by to make the long trek cozy and comfy! What are some of your travel must-haves? <3
Hello lovelies, and happy Fri-Yay to you all! :) Today has been a busy day of running errands and getting ahead in work. So today’s post is just a quick reminder of what is really important in life. This week we celebrated some exciting wins and milestones, both in business and in life! And one of the things I always live by is to celebrate the little things, and not to blaze over life’s wins without taking a moment to smile. So, what is more perfect than a bit of Ruffino Prosecco to welcome in the weekend? I am a sucker for a glass of prosecco and it has become a fun tradition in our family to stop and take a minute to cheers to our successes with those we love the most. Whether it’s with friends or family, the most important are the memories of getting to that point of finally reaching the top of the mountain, whatever that mountain is for you. What are some of your favorite ways to celebrate the wins in your life? <3 Xo
Hello Lovelies! It’s Throwback Thursday on the blog today! On our travels to South Africa earlier this year, the first place we stopped in with the family was Old Town Italy in Pretoria. Ah, we had such a great time!! The whole vibe of the place is amazing, with a bit of a market feel to one side, the restaurant on the other, and just such a simple, slow-paced way of life. They definitely portray a time when everything ran by a much more romantic set of values.. a time when a visit to your local grocery store was more of a social event than a chore, where the butcher knew your preferences, and the baker greeted you by name. Love it!
Since there is usually a wait, we started out at their wrap-around bar, trying drinks by recommendation – amazing! It wasn’t long before we got to sit at our table, in a big bay window, enjoying the classic old-town feel. We had everything from a warm quinoa salad, to calamari, to steak, pasta, and my favorite, the fresh beet summer salad! Of course, we started it all off with a fresh bread basket, with olive oil and balsamic to dip. Such an incredible day, and I love being able to look back at these precious memories together with family! <3
Hello lovelies! Coming to you from the most beautiful fall season ever! Which means it’s time for those over the knee boots, and cute long-sleeve dresses. Also, since it’s officially Watch Wednesday :) I thought I’d share a little post on styling the Rose Gold Debut Watch from Medium Watches. It is the perfect fall accessory, and goes so well dressed up or even with a cozy sweater. This time I paired the Debut White with the rose gold mesh straps, which are great for dressing up your look for date night!
The rose gold features are a great accent to all the fall colors around, and perfectly pops with this Halogen long-sleeve dress from Nordstrom. The neutral black Kate Spade cross-body purse doesn’t overpower the look, and allows it all to come together. When you want to style up the watch, don’t be scared to add a little extra bracelet or fine chain to accompany it. This is another great way to change it up and get a bit of a different look styled. The rose gold is definitely timeless, and I love having it in my fall wardrobe this year! What is your favorite watch this season? <3
